Fifty firefighters mobilize to extinguish Westchester residence blaze.
A fire was reported near the 1800 block of Southwest 82nd Street in the Westchester area of Miami‑Dade County on Tuesday morning. Miami‑Dade Fire Rescue dispatched 50 crews to the single‑family home, arriving around 11:30 a.m. The blaze began in the rear yard and quickly spread to the structure’s exterior, producing heavy smoke and flames visible from the street.
Emergency officials classified the incident as a first‑alarm call before containment was achieved. Investigators noted a damaged patio screen and several solar panels that were burned or cracked. No injuries were recorded, and all residents, including children, evacuated safely.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Fire investigators have not released any preliminary findings.
