Oakland Park, Fla., firefighters reported a kitchen‑originating fire in a seven‑unit, one‑story building at 4451 NE 19 Terrace early Monday. The incident began shortly after 5:30 a.m., and responders arrived at the scene within minutes of reporting a smoke plume from an apartment window.
