Pompano Beach woman charged with attacking man in stabbing incident.

A 28‑year‑old woman was taken into custody on Thursday morning in Pompano Beach, Florida, after a report of a stabbing incident. The crime was reported to the Broward Sheriff’s Office shortly before 8 a.m. near the 200 block of Northwest Tenth Street.

Deputies arrived at the scene and found a male victim with a stab wound on his arm. Pompano Beach Fire Rescue transported him to a local hospital where medical staff reported the injuries as non‑life‑threatening.

Broward officials identified the case as a domestic incident. They charged the suspect, Marlonda Newman, with aggravated battery involving a deadly weapon.

Special Victims Unit detectives are continuing the investigation to clarify the circumstances surrounding the stabbing. As of the following morning, Newman remained in the Broward County Main Jail without bond.
