Bette Midler Leads Cast of New Hocus Pocus 3 Release
The Sanderson sisters, portrayed by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, are set to return in a third installment of the “Hocus Pocus” franchise. Production is underway at Disney Live Action Studios, and the film is expected to be released in theaters. The first “Hocus Pocus” film debuted in 1993, and a 2022 sequel was released on Disney+ following a successful streaming run that reportedly drew billions of views.
In July 2025, Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” that the cast was in discussions for a third film. A month later, Bette Midler appeared on the same show, stating that a script had already been written and that production logistics were still being finalized.
Kathy Najimy has not commented directly on the project but expressed enthusiasm in October 2025 by posting a Halloween costume photo on Instagram, which was acknowledged by Disney+.
No official release date has been announced, and the project remains in early development.
