Florida teacher attempted to lure students into sharing explicit photos.

FBI agents arrested Patrick Conor Russell, 37, a former teacher at Saint Andrew’s School in Boca Raton, on Thursday after a raid on his Deerfield Beach home. Investigators linked Russell to a broader child‑sexual‑abuse material investigation that began with a warrant served on another individual in the Cincinnati area. During the search, FBI agents found thousands of files of child sexual abuse material and chat logs on the messaging app Zangi that included conversations with Russell, who used the handle “Jack C.”

Court documents indicate Russell exchanged links to sexually explicit content involving minors with the other suspect and made remarks expressing sexual interest in his students. He allegedly discussed sexual role‑play involving a “student in my high school English class,” sent photos of boys from the school, and talked about seeking nudity from students. Agents also noted Russell’s participation in a group chat dedicated to the sharing of child‑sexual‑abuse videos.

St. Andrew’s School terminated Russell’s employment; the school stated he may not return or interact with students or staff. Russell was booked into the Broward Sheriff’s Office Main Jail on behalf of U.S. Marshals after a scheduled appearance in federal court on Friday for possession and receipt of child‑sexual‑abuse material. He remains in custody pending further proceedings.
