Offset remains in Hollywood after admission to Memorial Regional Hospital.
On Monday night a shooting occurred in the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Kiari Kendrell Cephus, known professionally as Offset, the former Migos member and former husband of Cardi B, was among those injured. He was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Fort Lauderdale and remained there on Tuesday night with a stable condition, according to a spokesperson for the rapper.
Seminole Police Department officials said the incident began after a confrontation that escalated into gunfire. Offset sustained non‑life‑threatening injuries and was hospitalized for treatment.
Police arrested two individuals at the scene. Tione Jayden Merritt, also known as Lil Tjay and 24 years old, was taken into custody on charges of disorderly conduct and operating a vehicle without a valid license. He was released from the Broward County Main Jail on Tuesday evening and left the facility on his own.
The incident follows a history of violence involving hip‑hop artists, including the 2022 split of the original Migos trio and the later death of Takeoff. Offset’s family background includes a marriage to Cardi B from 2017 to 2024, with whom he has three children.
No further updates have been issued, and the investigation continues.
