Miami-Dade Bookkeeper Faces Charges Over $22,000 Theft
Miami‑Dade County authorities arrested Liggia Mancia, 38, on Wednesday. She was taken from her West Miami residence following a complaint by Metal Masters Shop, Inc. at 7484 NW Eighth Street.
Mancia had been hired in August as a bookkeeper and was granted sole access to the company’s financial software. Records indicate that between September and December 2025 she transferred $22,500 from the business to her own accounts.
Investigators obtained Mancia’s bank statements, which confirmed the unauthorized transfers and demonstrated use of the funds for personal expenses. After being taken into custody, she reportedly confessed to the allegations.
She is being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $12,500 bond. The case remains under investigation, and the Miami‑Dade Sheriff’s Office has not released additional statements.
