‘Traitors’ star Eric Nam reveals new album – NBC 6 South Florida

Singer Eric Nam Announces Release of New Album

Eric Nam announced that a new studio album will be released later this year. The Korean-American singer, songwriter, and actor revealed the information during the third hour of the TODAY show on April 15. He confirmed that the project, titled “Confessions of a Lonely Heart,” is scheduled for a fall release and will include a mix of loneliness themes with upbeat pop sounds.

The album follows Nam’s previous releases, including 2019’s “Before We Begin,” the 2022 single “There And Back Again,” and the 2023 single “House on a Hill.” One track that will appear on the new record is “How the Fire Started,” a song that was inspired by Nam’s experience on reality‑tv series “The Traitors.”

Nam finished as a finalist on Season 4 of “The Traitors,” where he was eliminated by eventual winner Rob Rausch. The pair’s conflict inspired Nam’s single, which he performed on TODAY. The accompanying music video features several cast members, including Rausch and fellow contestant Maura Higgins.

The singer recounted that he persuaded Rausch and Higgins to participate in the video, which contains a staged “fire” scene that did not involve any real harm. The collaboration was framed as a light‑hearted tribute to the show’s drama and was described as a “fun note” to close the series.
