Woman shot multiple times in Coral Springs, hospitalized.
A woman in Coral Springs was shot several times during a Thursday afternoon incident near a strip mall on West Sample Road. Police reported the event occurred around 3 p.m. at the 7600 block of the road. At the scene, law‑enforcement officers and crime‑scene tape were positioned around a crashed work van and an SUV, but authorities were unclear whether the shooting was related to the vehicle collision.
Medics transported the victim to Broward Health North where she was treated for serious injuries. A person of interest in the case has been taken into custody. By 4:30 p.m., officials noted the victim’s condition remained unknown.
The Coral Springs Police Department is investigating the connection between the suspect and the victim. Police stated that there was no immediate danger to the public. Those with additional information are asked to contact CSPD at 954‑344‑1800.
