Shooter’s victim identified after fatal shooting near Miami Beach Sandbar
A shooting outside the Sandbar sports bar on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach resulted in the death of a 31‑year‑old man on Friday morning. The victim was identified as Diego Pereira, who was fatally shot in an alley shortly after an altercation inside the bar. Police report that a dispute between Pereira and another patron, Quayshawn West, escalated into violence, leading to the fatal shooting.
West has been charged with second‑degree murder in connection with the incident. He is being detained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and is not eligible for bond. No additional witnesses or suspects have been reported at this time.
