Fort Lauderdale officers report two men wounded in shooting.
Fort Lauderdale police reported that two men were shot during a confrontation on Friday evening. Officers arrived around 8:45 p.m. at the 600‑block of Northwest 12th Avenue after receiving calls that the men had been injured.
One victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, while the other was hit in the upper torso. Both were transported to Broward Health Medical Center under trauma alert status. The medical team treated their injuries as non‑life‑threatening.
The police department has not released any statements identifying the suspects or determining motives. The case remains under active investigation.
No additional injuries or property damage were reported. The incident occurred in a residential area of the city. Authorities are continuing to gather evidence and interview witnesses to determine the circumstances of the shooting.
