Florida man sentenced for cocaine trafficking ring in Broward County
A 45‑year‑old man from Broward County, Florida, has been found guilty of multiple drug‑related offenses including racketeering and cocaine trafficking. The defendant, Teddy McCall Jr., was convicted after a three‑week jury trial. McCall is accused of running a cocaine distribution network that employed family members to circulate drugs across South Florida.
The charges list his involvement in drug trafficking, possession with intent to sell, and two counts of owning or renting property for illicit activity. Court documents show the alleged scheme used familial ties to facilitate the operation.
The Florida Attorney General’s office confirmed the conviction on May 27. McCall is scheduled to appear in court again on June 29 for sentencing. Under Florida law, the minimum sentence for the approved charges is 13 years in state prison.
Law enforcement officials emphasized that the case demonstrates the continued effort to dismantle organized drug networks in the region and highlight the importance of coordinated prosecutorial and investigative work. No additional charges have been announced at this time.
