Coral Springs detective team examines recent homicide case.
A dead man was found by police early Thursday morning in the Coral Springs neighborhood of Coral Park East. The victim’s body was covered with a white tent and tarp near a garbage area on the property. Witnesses reported hearing a shooting around 3 a.m. and observing a helicopter overhead at approximately 5 a.m. near Royal Palm Boulevard and Riverside Drive.
Detectives are treating the scene as a homicide investigation. Crime‑scene tape marked the area around a nearby apartment building, the Coral Springs Tower Club, and a sports utility vehicle that had blood stains. An assault rifle was reportedly discovered in the water adjacent to the apartment building pool.
