Deputies probe park shooting that claimed a Dania Beach man’s life
A fatal shooting was reported in Dania Beach on Friday evening. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at CW Thomas Park near the 800 block of Northwest Second Street around 9:15 p.m. They found a man with a gunshot wound. Emergency medical responders from Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he died.
The BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene teams stayed at the scene into the night to collect evidence. No further details about the incident or the identity of the deceased were released at this time. Investigators have not determined the motive or whether a suspect is known.
