Two Men Detained for Alleged $400K Coin Theft from Hollywood Home
A woman from Hollywood, Florida, reported that a group of three residents had stayed with her for four years while claiming financial hardship and receiving government assistance. The trio allegedly stole a collection of gold and silver coins worth an estimated $400,000, according to investigators.
Court filings show that Joseph Marsicek (55) and his partner Lisa Bulinski (53) of Zephyrhills are now in custody, facing felony charges of first‑degree grand theft, tampering with stolen property, and using false information to pawn items. Their bond totals $125,000 and they remain in a Broward County jail.
Marsicek’s mother, Mary Ann MacPherson, was also involved. Records indicate MacPherson moved out of the victim’s home with the two men to Pasco County on February 15. Three days later, the victim discovered her coin collection missing and called the Hollywood Police Department.
Police state the suspects sold portions of the coins to a gold and jewelry buyer, earning roughly $72,000, though investigators believe more may still be in their possession. The case is ongoing, with authorities continuing to pursue all parties involved.
