Teen arrested for shooting juvenile victims in southwest Miami‑Dade captured on video
In southwestern Miami‑Dade a drive‑by shooting occurred on February 18, 2026, near Southwest 152nd Avenue and 76th Street. Dashcam footage released by the Miami‑Dade State Attorney’s Office shows a black Honda Civic from which gunfire originated.
The vehicle carried then‑16‑year‑old Adrian Negron Vega and 17‑year‑old Camilo Buritica, who were arguing with two outside youths. According to the video, Negron Vega fired a black handgun from the passenger window while the pedestrians walked away, after which the car fled the scene.
Law enforcement identified a 15‑year‑old victim who sustained gunshot wounds to the right shoulder and left ankle. The teenager was treated in a local hospital and remains hospitalized.
Negron Vega was arrested and charged as an adult with attempted murder. Buritica admitted to driving the Civic and stated that Negron Vega fired the shots. Negron Vega claimed he was at home during the incident.
