Tyler Mane Shares Experience Facing Breast Cancer

Tyler Mane, the 61‑year‑old former wrestler and actor, was diagnosed with Stage 1 invasive ductal carcinoma, the most common form of male breast cancer.
The tumor was identified after Mane noticed a lump on the left side of his chest during the fall of 2025.
His wife, Renae, urged him to investigate the growth, leading to removal of the mass on April 1, 2026.

A subsequent PET scan and biopsy confirmed the cancer had not spread beyond his axillary lymph nodes, all of which tested clear.
Genetic testing revealed a BRCA2 mutation, indicating an elevated risk for breast and other cancers in his family.

Mane is undergoing four cycles of chemotherapy, the first of which began on June 8, 2026, with three‑week intervals between treatments.
Because the cancer is hormone‑receptor positive, he is also taking an estrogen blocker and has scheduled radiation following chemotherapy.

In addition to treatment, Mane plans to launch a podcast with his wife focused on midlife challenges and marriage.
He has expressed a commitment to raising awareness about breast cancer in men, encouraging earlier detection and screening.
