During the appearance, Fallon raised his own game‑worn sneaker to the studio roof after engaging with the team in a lighthearted ritual that began when Knicks guard Josh Hart repeatedly untied the shoe during playoff games. The sneaker was signed by the players and was later hoisted to the roof with a dropped wire, a moment that was echoed by fan reactions in the audience.
Jalen Brunson, who holds the NBA trophy, appeared on the show to honor a promise Fallon had made in 2024 to bring the championship trophy to 30 Rock.
