Ye Announces Summer Tour Dates for Chicago Fans
Ye announced a short U.S. tour scheduled for late June through early September. The 8‑show itinerary includes dates in San Antonio, two nights in Chicago’s Soldier Field, and two in Tampa, Florida, with additional stops planned in Albania, Spain and Portugal. Tour information was posted on Ye’s official website on Monday morning. The first show in Chicago will occur on June 26, the last in the U.S. will be September 4. Tickets for the Soldier Field shows are currently available only through a pre‑registration process.
The tour follows Ye’s most recent studio release, “Bully,” which debuted in March. The artist did not assign a specific name to this series of concerts. The announcement came roughly two months after Ye was denied a travel permit to appear on a summer UK music festival following backlash over antisemitic remarks he has made on social media.
In Tampa, the shows have attracted political criticism. Florida Senator Rick Scott sent a letter to the Tampa Sports Authority urging that no taxpayer money be used to support the artist’s performances. Prior statements by Ye—including posts containing antisemitic content and an admission of selling merchandise with a swastika—had led to suspensions of his social‑media accounts and a public apology in a full‑page Wall Street Journal advertisement. Ye has not issued a new comment regarding the current tour dates.
