Trio from Homestead Charged After Assaulting Robbery Victim in Davie

Teenage Davie resident was assaulted and robbed on February 19 outside a residence on Southwest 57 Street near South Pine Island Road. The victim requested a ride from a friend, and three men known to him from Homestead entered the vehicle.

Investigators named the suspects as Aloni Bryant (19), Charlie Blunt (36), and Jerome Brookin III (19). During the attack, one suspect restrained the victim with a seat belt while another struck him with a firearm. Brookin, who held two black pistols, also pointed guns at the victim’s head. All three men were armed with firearms.

The robbery yielded $1,000 transferred via CashApp, a Hermes bracelet worth $1,000, an iPhone valued at $1,100, Gucci sandals worth $800, and the victim’s vehicle keys.

Broward County police arrested Brookin on April 14, Blunt on April 17, and Bryant on April 21. All were booked into the Broward County Main Jail and held without bond: Blunt at the Joseph V. Conte Facility, Brookin at the North Broward Bureau, and Bryant at the main jail.

Each defendant faces a first‑degree felony armed robbery charge. Their cases are scheduled before Circuit Judge Marina Garcia‑Wood for Blunt, Judge Andrew Siegel for Brookin, and Judge Ernest Kollra for Bryant.
