Broward man shot, rushed to hospital after police investigation.
A man was transported to a hospital in Hollywood, Florida, after being shot. 911 dispatchers received a call at about 11:45 a.m. on Thursday reporting a shooting in the area and the victim’s en route to medical care. Deputies located the individual north of Sheridan Street and 56th Avenue, where law‑enforcement officers confirmed a gunshot wound.
Broward Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue personnel provided emergency transport to a local hospital. Doctors determined the injuries were not life‑threatening, and the patient was admitted for treatment. The incident is believed to have occurred near Mary Saunders Park in the West Park neighborhood.
Investigators from the BSO Violent Crime Unit are reviewing the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No additional details about the victim or the assailant have been released.
