Miami woman charged with striking man with picture frame
A 24‑year‑old woman was taken into custody on Sunday after allegedly striking a man on the head with a glass picture frame while leaving the Kiki on the River Mediterranean restaurant in Miami. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. when the woman, identified as Sophia Grace Majher, and her companions were being escorted out of the venue by security staff on North River Drive.
Police reports state that Majher approached the host, who was helping escort the host’s party, and struck him behind the head with the frame. An off‑duty officer working at the restaurant saw the victim bleeding and covered in blood, and the incident was captured on surveillance video.
The victim received on‑scene treatment from Miami Fire Rescue personnel; it is unclear whether he was transported to a hospital. Majher is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
As of Monday afternoon, Majher is being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, with bond status pending.
No additional incidents were reported.
