Tom Dumont shares Parkinson’s diagnosis ahead of Sphere residency – NBC 6 South Florida

Tom Dumont reveals Parkinson’s diagnosis before upcoming Sphere residency.

Tom Dumont, guitarist for the ska group No Doubt, announced a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease in an Instagram video posted on Saturday.
The musician said he had noticed symptoms several years earlier, prompting consultations with a doctor and a neurologist. Subsequent testing confirmed early‑onset Parkinson’s.

Dumont noted that the condition has impacted his daily life, but he remains capable of playing music. He added that he would release another video to explain the disease in more detail.

No Doubt, fronted by Gwen Stefani, is preparing for a Las Vegas residency at the Sphere venue from May 6 to June 13. The show will mark Stefani’s first headlining appearance at the venue.

Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological disorder that affects motor control, typically producing tremor, rigidity, and balance problems. Public figures, including actor Michael J. Fox, have publicly disclosed their diagnoses to raise awareness and support research efforts.
