Nine people hospitalized, three kids, after Sunrise Boulevard collision.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue units reached the 500 block of West Sunrise Boulevard just before 9 p.m. on Sunday after a collision involving two minivans. Witnesses reported that one vehicle was overturned and occupants were trapped inside.
Nine individuals were transported to Broward Health Medical Center. Federal records indicate that seven sustained serious injuries, including three children, while the remaining two suffered less severe injuries. Hospital officials have not released details regarding the patients’ conditions.
Investigators are conducting a full inquiry into the crash. No traffic citations or fault have been announced at this time.
