Seven Hurt, One Child Injured in I‑595 Off‑Ramp Collision by Truck and Taxi
Seven individuals sustained injuries in a collision near Fort Lauderdale‑Hollywood International Airport on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred on an Interstate 595 offramp that merges onto Interstate 95, around 3:15 p.m. According to the Broward Sheriff‑Fire‑Rescue Department, the crash involved a cement truck and a taxi, both heavily damaged.
Five of the injured were reported as seriously hurt, one of whom is a child. Those patients are being transported to the Broward Health Medical Center trauma center for treatment. Two adults have received minor injuries.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene quickly after the collision. As of 3:25 p.m., officials had not released further details regarding the victims’ medical conditions or the extent of property damage. No additional information was available at that time.
