Six people evacuated after Lauderhill triplex blaze; everyone safe.
A fire broke out in a triplex at the 5700 block of Northwest 15th Street in Lauderhill, Florida, on Sunday evening around 7:30 p.m. The blaze forced 16 residents to leave their homes. Firefighters from Lauderhill Fire Rescue worked the scene while a line of engines was observed across the property, and local police also responded. No injuries were reported. Residents returning to the building found it abandoned and were seen checking with officials about any remaining belongings. The American Red Cross has offered temporary shelter to the displaced tenants. The cause of the fire remains unknown and is under investigation by authorities. The incident occurred on April 19 2026.
