Ex‑Burger King employee charged with Uber passenger robbery in Miami Springs.
A 49‑year‑old resident of Hialeah, Florida, was taken into custody on Wednesday after an incident at a Miami Springs hotel. Officers responded to a call from staff who reported that the woman, who has a long record of offenses, had returned to the Sleep Inn at 105 Fairway Drive. Investigators say she attacked a rideshare driver for Alto, a partner of Uber, using the driver’s own Yeti water bottle as a weapon.
The attack occurred just before 6 p.m. Tuesday. The woman reportedly kicked the rear passenger door of the driver’s Kia EV9, removed a weather seal, and swung the plastic bottle at the driver’s head. When the driver attempted to stop her, she forced her way into the vehicle, removed the turn‑signal and windshield‑wiper levers, and then slapped the driver’s arm with the closed door.
Hotel staff confirmed she had been staying there. Police filed charges of carjacking, aggravated assault with a weapon, criminal mischief, grand theft and battery. She was returned to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and is being held without bond.
The arrested woman, identified as Natasha Ethel Bagley, previously pleaded guilty in 2020 to burglary with assault or battery, strong‑armed robbery and criminal mischief related to a Burger King incident. She was 42 at that time and was accompanied by a 27‑year‑old woman who later received probation.
