Taylor Frankie Paul announces separation from Mormon community.
Taylor Frankie Paul filed a public Instagram post on Sunday reflecting on the past 40 days, a period that has attracted significant scrutiny due to domestic‑violence allegations involving her former partner, Dakota Mortensen. The post, a slideshow of photographs and text, described emotional distress and her decision to distance herself from the Mormon faith she was raised in, while noting continued family attendance at religious events.
ABC canceled Paul’s upcoming “The Bachelorette” season, originally slated to premiere on March 22, after a video released by TMZ on March 19 showed her allegedly attacking Mortensen in a domestic‑violence incident. That footage prompted the network to withdraw the show and to suspend production of season five of “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” until its legal matters are resolved in a March 7 meeting with ABC executives.
Police in West Jordan and Draper, Utah, confirmed ongoing investigations of the February 2024 incident, each citing separate allegations from Paul and Mortensen. Mortensen’s participation on the reality series “Vanderpump Villa” will be removed following the controversy, according to Variety. The developments remain under active investigation by law‑enforcement agencies and network officials.
