Taylor Paul and Dakota Mortensen Meet in Utah Legal Dispute
Utah family court commissioners granted mutual protective orders to “The Secret Lives of Mormon Housewives” stars Taylor Frankie Paul, 31, and former partner Dakota Mortensen, 33, following a nearly two‑hour hearing held Thursday. The orders, effective for three years, require the couple to remain at least 100 feet apart and impose criminal penalties for violations.
Commissioner Russell Minas announced the decision, noting that while both parties had arguments for temporary orders, the safety of their two‑year‑old son warranted separate living arrangements. Paul’s attorney, Eric Swinyard, highlighted the court’s approval of the protective measures, while Mortensen’s legal representation has yet to comment.
The hearing followed a period of public scrutiny that began with a 2023 video showing an altercation between the pair, leading to the cancellation of Paul’s scheduled appearance on “The Bachelorette.” No further action is expected until a child‑and‑family services assessment is completed.
