The drama surfaced when Batula and Wilson, who were rumored to be dating in March, confirmed a relationship on social media. Wilson’s ex‑girlfriend, Ciara Miller, had previously been a close friend of Batula on the show, fuelling backlash.
Batula has been separated from husband Kyle Cooke since January. The couple’s split coincided with the influenza season in which Wilson was previously involved with Miller during season eight filming in 2023.
