Bonnie Tyler, 75, passes away, fans feel the loss

Bonnie Tyler, a Welsh pop singer born in 1945, died at age 75.
The death was announced Thursday by her family after she passed away in a hospital in Portugal.
Tyler had been admitted in May for emergency intestinal surgery in Faro, where she entered an induced coma before her passing.

Throughout her career, Tyler earned three Grammy nominations and was awarded an MBE in 2023 for her contributions to music.
She also represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013, finishing in 19th place.

Her most famous track, “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” was released in 1983 and reached number one in the UK for four weeks.
The single has since surpassed one billion streams worldwide.

Born Gaynor Hopkins, Tyler grew up in Skewen, Wales, before pursuing a professional music career that spanned several decades.
