Prosecutors seek Tiger Woods’ prescription drug files.
Prosecutors in Martin County, Florida, announced on Tuesday that they plan to subpoena prescription records from Lewis Pharmacy in Palm Beach. The request will cover dates of refills, quantities, dosages, and any dispensing instructions, including warnings about driving. The subpoena is part of the investigation following a DUI arrest.
Tiger Woods was taken into custody after his SUV struck a trailer and rolled sideways on April 20. Sheriff’s deputies recovered two pain pills in his possession and observed signs of impairment. Woods entered a plea of not guilty in the DUI case last week.
The golfer has said he is stepping away from competition to seek treatment. He has previously taken medical leaves after vehicular incidents, first after a 2009 crash that damaged his home in the Orlando area, and again following a 2021 crash in Los Angeles that resulted in severe leg injury.
Lewis Pharmacy and Woods’ attorney, Doug Duncan, have not yet responded to requests for comment. Prosecutors are waiting for the pharmacy’s records before moving forward in the case.
