Druski becomes first teenager to lead BET Awards
The 2026 BET Awards will take place Sunday at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
Comedian and content creator Druski will serve as host, becoming the event’s youngest emcee and surpassing Kevin Hart, who hosted in 2011.
Cardi B leads the nominations with six nods, while Kendrick Lamar and Mariah the Scientist receive five each. Doechii, Doja Cat, Clipse, Teyana Taylor, Olivia Dean, and Latto have four nominations apiece.
The show will feature performances by Cardi B, Common, Doechii, Don Toliver, French Montana, Jill Scott, Kehlani, Queen Latifah, Rick Ross, Tems, T.I., and The War And Treaty. Hip‑hop pioneer MC Lyte will act as the announcer.
Lauryn Hill will be awarded the Living Legend Icon Award, and Teyana Taylor will receive the Icon of the Year Award. Music executive Sylvia Rhone will be honored with the Ultimate Icon Award for her impact on the industry.
Additional categories include the Pulse Award, recognizing creators and content series, and the Fashion Vanguard Award, acknowledging cultural influence in fashion.
