Bieber appears at World Cup final’s halftime event

FIFA announced that a halftime show will take place during the 2026 World Cup final on July 19, staged outside the stadium in New York. The concert is scheduled to run for approximately eleven minutes and will be performed before the beginning of the match. The program is part of the official broadcast for the tournament’s final day.

The headline performers include Justin Bieber, Madonna, Shakira, and the Korean pop group BTS. Additional Ava-performing acts consist of Afrobeats singer Burna Boy, Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel, and the PS22 Chorus, a group of elementary‑school students from Staten Island. Coldplay also joined the lineup, with their lead guitarist Chris Martin handling the artistic direction of the show.

The event supports the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which is raising $100 million to expand educational opportunities for children worldwide. The fund’s proceeds will help families access schooling and soccer programs in underserved regions.
Burna Boy’s inclusion is significant because he co‑performed the tournament’s official song “Dai Dai” with Shakira, a track that blends Afrobeats and Latin pop. The halftime show will also feature popular characters from Sesame Street and the Muppets, including Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy.
