Andy Cohen Mourns WWHL Manager Who Succumbed to Brain Cancer
Former Watch What Happens Live production manager Kyra Samson, 28, died from glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, on Tuesday night. The death was announced on the final episode of WWHL that aired on June 25.
Andy Cohen, host and executive producer of WWHL, delivered an emotional tribute at the episode’s conclusion, describing Samson’s smile and her leadership as a production manager. He thanked viewers for their outpouring of support.
Following the announcement, Cohen urged viewers to donate to the Kyra Fund, which focuses on glioblastoma research. As of June 26, the fund had received nearly $300,000.
Samson had worked for Bravo for four years and began a production role with Jeopardy! in March 2025. The Northwestern University graduate was diagnosed after an episode in September 2025 when coworkers noticed she was acting abnormally.
She was the daughter of former Miami Marlins president David Samson, who posted a tribute on Instagram on June 25, noting her nine‑month and eleven‑day battle with the illness.
