Grammy‑nominated producer Tay Keith dies at 29.
A 29‑year‑old record producer, known professionally as Tay Keith, was found deceased in his apartment on Martin Street in Nashville, Tennessee. Metropolitan Nashville Police Department residents conducted a welfare check Thursday afternoon and discovered the unresponsive producer, whose legal name is Brytavious Chambers, inside the unit.
Police stated that no indication of foul play was present and that investigations are ongoing. The cause of death will be determined after an autopsy.
Keith had a notable career producing chart‑topping tracks for major artists, including Beyoncé, Drake, Travis Scott, and 21 Savage. He earned a Grammy nomination in 2019 for “Sicko Mode” and another in 2024 for “Rich Flex.”
The Nashville police department has requested additional information from the producer’s representatives and has not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the death. The investigation remains active.
