Artist Distributes Stickers Over Trump Faces on National Park Passes

On Dec. 10, Boulder artist and water‑resource manager Jenny McCarty launched a line of stickers covering the 2026 National Parks pass.
The new pass features President Donald Trump’s portrait, which McCarty says removes public choice in the selection of images. She created stickers with her watercolor scenes of a brown bear, Denali, a Rocky Mountain pika, and a Grand Teton wolf.

The stickers are sold through her Sage Leaf Studio website at $6 each, with all proceeds directed to the National Park Foundation. Over 1,000 orders have been received, and McCarty has not yet received a response from the National Park Service.

McCarty said the stickers provide a peaceful way for visitors to express concern over federal changes affecting 400‑plus national parks, monuments, and other public lands. In addition, the Center for Biological Diversity filed a lawsuit arguing the new pass design violates the annual photo contest requirement.

A California manufacturer offered to print the stickers if demand exceeds McCarty’s capacity, and she has released versions for Senior and Military pass holders. The project has drawn support from visitors and environmental groups critical of recent policies on public lands.
