Suspect Detained After Shooting Near North Miami Beach Club

Police in North Miami Beach have booked a 29‑year‑old man for a shooting that occurred outside Taboo Miami nightclub on May 2. The suspect, Stanley Guerrier of Little Haiti, was identified by surveillance footage showing him arrive in a black BMW SUV, exit the vehicle, and confront a man. According to investigators, after a confrontation that began with a physical altercation, Guerrier fired a weapon at the victim in a crowded area.

The victim was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital shortly after the incident, according to police statements. Surveillance video and witness accounts indicated the victim was shoved by Guerrier before the victim struck back in an apparent attempt at self‑defense. Police recovered a bullet and a cellphone at the scene.

Authorities located Guerrier a day later and arrested him without incident. He was booked on charges of attempted second‑degree murder and unlawful discharge of a firearm in a public place. He remains in custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center without bond.
