Jimmy Graham praises students’ achievements during SEED School Miami tribute
Former Miami Hurricanes tight end Jimmy Graham attended the Legacy Ceremony at SEED School of Miami on Thursday night. The 24‑hour tuition‑free boarding school, located in South Florida, celebrated a 12‑year anniversary and maintains a 100 percent college acceptance rate for its students. Graham was honored for his efforts in guiding students toward future projects, a recognition that highlighted his own journey from adversity to professional football.
The event also coincided with the first‑ever Champions Gala held at Miami Dade College North Campus. The gala awarded middle‑school and lower‑school athletes with a ceremony styled after the Oscars. Local 10 News anchor Clay Ferraro addressed the recipients, emphasizing the role of youth sports in his personal and family life.
Both ceremonies, held on May 14, 2026, aimed to inspire young people in the region. Official statements from SEED School and Miami Dade College confirmed the attendance of Graham and Ferraro and described the ceremonies as celebrations of student achievement and community involvement.
