Jordan Chiles Starts New Training Phase Ahead of National Championships
Jordan Chiles, 25, earned a gold medal on the uneven bars at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and will graduate from UCLA with a degree in African American studies in June. The former collegiate gymnast has won four NCAA championships and is a two‑time Olympian, having also taken home team silver in Tokyo 2020.
Chiles has completed her final collegiate season, winning the NCAA floor exercise title, and announced her departure from UCLA with a statement of gratitude to the program. Her coach, Janelle McDonald, praised her as one of the best athletes the school has produced.
In addition to her athletic achievements, Chiles has expanded her brand through sponsorships, most recently partnering with Pure Leaf to promote a mental‑focus beverage. She also runs the Shero Athlete Collective, a mentorship platform for young female athletes.
Chiles has expressed interest in acting and film work, but she remains focused on finishing her degree before deciding whether to compete in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. She has stated that her decision will be based on her physical readiness and personal goals.
