Detectives request public assistance to locate missing Pompano Beach woman

Broward County authorities reported the disappearance of a 55‑year‑old woman named Amy Bedell, who was last seen on January 13 near 520 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Pompano Beach. The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) stated that Bedell’s family filed a missing persons report shortly after she failed to return home.

Police described Bedell as 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. The case was assigned to Missing Persons Detective Chris Blankenship, who requested any information from the public.

Individuals with knowledge of Bedell’s whereabouts can contact the BSO non‑emergency number at 954‑764‑HELP (4357) or call Detective Blankenship directly at 954‑321‑4268. The sheriff’s office has issued a broad public appeal for assistance, emphasizing that prompt information may facilitate her safe recovery.
