West Wilson’s Relative Charged in Grandmother’s Fatal Shooting
On Wednesday, authorities in Carrollton, Missouri, reported that 75‑year‑old Gayle Wilson was found fatally shot inside her home. The victim was identified as a former blackjack dealer who enjoyed sewing and stained glass. Missouri officials said her cousin, Dakota Sweeney, was arrested on suspicion of first‑degree murder and armed criminal action.
Sweeney was living with Wilson at the time of the incident. According to an affidavit from the Missouri Highway Patrol, a witness recounted that the two argued about chores in the same room before Sweeney shot Wilson in the head. Investigators noted the shooting occurred approximately 30 minutes after the witnesses began sitting on separate couches.
The shooting took place just days before the filming of a “Summer House” reunion episode that features Wilson. Neither the reunion has aired nor has any additional commentary from the network or Wilson’s representatives been released at this time.
