After court outburst, man accused of murdering Miami Gardens pastor, grandson takes plea deal

Man Accepts Plea Deal in Miami Gardens Pastor Killing Trial

A plea agreement was reached in a 2013 double homicide case in Miami Gardens, Florida. The case involved the deaths of 70‑year‑old Annette Anderson and her 20‑year‑old grandson, Tyrone Walker Jr. Charges were brought against two men: Reginald Jackson, 40, and Roderick Martin, 39.

Jackson and Martin were accused of orchestrating the murders, which were carried out in a residence in the Miami Gardens area. No motive has been publicly disclosed, according to the defendants’ attorneys.

The plea deal assigns Jackson a 40‑year prison sentence and Martin a 25‑year term. Both sentences will run consecutively.

Jackson had previously documented a courtroom outburst during a prior hearing, in which he expressed frustration over family absence and objections to the plea proposal.

The case is now closed, with the court scheduled to finalize sentencing in the coming days. No additional investigations have been announced.
