Swatting incident mistaken for bomb threat at Miami school.
Miami‑Dade police dispatched the Miami‑Dade Sheriff’s Office and Fire Rescue to a bomb threat at Westwood Christian School on Friday afternoon. The call was received near the intersection of Southwest 58th Street and Southwest 120th Avenue in Kendale Lakes, a private K‑12 institution.
Deputies were on site at 2:53 p.m. with aerial support from Sky 10. The school was secured and a full sweep was conducted in accordance with standard protocols. Fire crews and law‑enforcement personnel remained on the premises to monitor potential hazards.
After completing the inspection, responders determined the allegation was a false alarm and identified the threat as a swatting incident. No casualties or damage were reported.
Students and faculty returned to the campus later that day. No further information has been released, and the incident remains under official investigation.
