Lamar Odom Declares Khloé Kardashian Reunion Harmful to Him
Former NBA player Lamar Odom met with his ex‑wife Khloé Kardashian for the first time in nine years during a visit to a friend’s home in 2025. The encounter was filmed for the Season 6 premiere of the reality series “The Kardashians,” which aired in February 2025. Odom described the reunion as awkward and noted that while he still felt familial affection for Kardashian, he did not share romantic feelings.
The meeting took place at the residence of Kardashian’s close friend, Malika Haqq. During the episode, Kardashian observed that Odom appeared visibly uncomfortable and nervous, and she later returned some of his personal belongings. Odom described the experience as “out‑of‑body.”
Odom’s recent public appearances coincide with the release of the Netflix documentary “Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom.” The film chronicles his 14‑year NBA career, two championships with the Los Angeles Lakers, and his battle with substance abuse that led to a life‑threatening overdose in 2015. He survived multiple strokes and heart attacks after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel and spent three days in a coma.
Following the overdose, Kardashian remained by his side for several months during his recovery despite having filed for divorce in 2013. Odom has publicly acknowledged her support during that period. He has also expressed a desire to use his story to help others struggling with addiction and is pursuing a coaching position at Winston‑Salem State University.
