Motorcycle collision in Alligator Alley claims one life, injures another

A fatal motorcycle collision occurred on Interstate 75’s Alligator Alley in Broward County, Florida, late on April 26. The crash closed two lanes of the highway and caused traffic to back up toward West Broward. Authorities confirmed that one rider died at the scene and another motorcyclist sustained injuries. The injured rider’s medical condition has not been released.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers first assessed the scene and reported the fatalities. By just after 9 p.m., one of the closed lanes was reopened, allowing vehicular traffic to resume flow. The patrol has stated that an investigation into the incident is underway.

The incident took place near the Alligator Alley segment of Interstate 75, a major east‑west corridor in the region. No additional traffic accidents were reported in the area at the time of the release.

The Florida Highway Patrol’s investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be issued as more details become available.
