Local copter crashes on psychiatric facility grounds near airfield
A small aircraft crashed Friday morning near North Perry Airport in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Witness reports indicate the plane overturned on the campus of South Florida State Hospital at 800 E. Cypress Drive around 11:45 a.m.
Emergency responders assessed the scene and reported that all occupants were conscious and breathing. No additional injuries were documented by police, and traffic conditions in the surrounding area were not expected to change.
