McDonald’s partners with BTS for new BT21 Happy Meal
McDonald’s will introduce a new BTS‑themed Happy Meal on July 14 that will be available at participating restaurants across the United States for a limited‑time offer. The promotion is part of a new partnership with the South Korean boy band BTS and the BT21 character line created by Line Friends.
Each Happy Meal will include one of ten BT21 character toys. The figures are equipped with ring clips so they can be attached to a purse, keyring, backpack, or other personal items.
The packaging features a QR code that customers can scan to visit the HappyMeal.com site. There, users can create interactive tracks and play with virtual versions of their favorite BT21 characters.
BT21 was launched as a collaboration between BTS members—Jungkook, V, Jimin, Suga, Jin, RM, and J‑Hope—and Line Friends, with each of the eight characters representing a group member or a symbol of the BTS fan base.
McDonald’s has previously partnered with BTS, selling a 2021 “BTS Meal” that offered a 10‑piece Chicken McNuggets pack with two dipping sauces, fries, and a drink in about 50 markets. In September 2025, the chain released a TinyTAN Happy Meal featuring toys modeled on each BTS member.
