Justin Baldoni Moves to Exclude Evidence in Blake Lively Case

Justin Baldoni filed a motion on Friday to exclude certain evidence from the ongoing lawsuit with co‑star Blake Lively. The motion requests that testimony from seven other women, including Jenny Slate and author Colleen Hoover, be barred as irrelevant to Lively’s claims. The evidence is said to consist of “awkward comments, minor confrontations, and perceived slights” unrelated to the workplace conduct at the film set.

The lawsuit centers on Lively’s allegations of sexual harassment, retaliation, and contract violations by Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios. Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed 10 of Lively’s 13 claims last week, but a trial is scheduled for May to address the three remaining claims of breach of contract, retaliation, and aiding and abetting retaliation.

Baldoni’s attorneys argue that Lively was not aware of the other women’s complaints during filming, and that the evidence would only confuse the jury. The filing claims the other women’s statements do not constitute actionable discrimination or a hostile work environment.

Both parties have not yet commented on the new filing. The case will proceed to trial in May unless further motions are granted.
