Chris Evans Debuts in Marvel’s New Avengers Trailer
Chris Evans has confirmed that he will reprise his role as Steve Rogers in the forthcoming Marvel film Avengers: Doomsday. The announcement came from a trailer released on December 23 2023, which includes a title card stating that Rogers will be back and that the movie is slated for a December 18 2026 release.
The trailer shows Evans riding a motorcycle and arriving at a rural house, with brief scenes depicting him wearing a wedding band and holding a baby. These moments reference his life with Peggy Carter after the events of Avengers: Endgame and demonstrate the time he has spent living in the mid‑20th century.
Evans, who is 44 years old, welcomed a daughter with his wife, Alba Baptista, in October 2023. In a 2023 interview with GQ, he said he would consider returning only if the role met high expectations and was not perceived as a cash grab.
Earlier this year, Evans expressed disappointment in missing the upcoming Avengers filming in a June interview with ScreenRant. He highlighted that the film would be significant and expressed hope that the cast would continue to create noteworthy work.
The Avengers: Doomsday trailer signals that Evans will join the existing Marvel ensemble once again, with the movie projected to debut in December 2026.
